Meet Chef Mark.
Mark immigrated to the United States from Poland, after finishing Pastry School. No time was lost in the commencement of his immediate career in the culinary arts. In 1988 while working as the assistant pastry chef at Jackson Lake Lodge in Teton National Park, he met his sweetheart, Marilee. They had a whirlwind romance and were married four months later. In 1993 they opened their wholesale business “Mark’s Specialties”, where Mark provided the restaurants and hotels of the Wasatch Front of northern Utah with pastries.
Meanwhile, his wife’s heart craved the country life. While visiting Logan Utah, they both were moved by the small town atmosphere and natural beauty of the area. In 2006 they opened a pastry shop called “Sweetly Divine”. In order to widen the menu, Mark started to offer sandwiches and soup. Pretty soon their sandwiches were famous for their freshly-made focaccia bread and signature jalapeño jelly.
Soon, Mark was approached by a large food distributor and was asked to provide them with his jalapeño jellies. Shortly after, Sweetly Divine was selling it’s jellies to grocery stores and other culinary retailers in Cache Valley, including his retail store. Then customers started to ask how they could order it on line. We happily complied.
